Kindlers' Ethics Statement

We believe:

  • Spirit exists.
  • Spirit experiences and expresses itself in all things, not only as individuals, but also in each connection and the entirety that is the Great Web created by the common bond of Spirit within all things.
  • All life, being a part of the Great Web, is imbued with Spirit, is directed by Spirit, and comes to know and experience Spirit in its own way, to the fullest extent of its capability.
  • Spirit, in turn, lives, moves, evolves and is directed to know and express itself through all life to the fullest extent of its capability.
  • Therefore, we hold that all life is sacred, all life is meaningful, and all life has purpose.
  • All life and every life is capable of living in harmony, of itself and as a whole, when it lives in harmony with its expression of Spirit.
  • Harming any life harms Spirit, and harming Spirit harms all life, and every life, including oneself.
  • Therefore, we honor all life and all forms of Spirit, and honor our responsibility to seek, learn and fully experience our expression of Spirit, be it in all seriousness or in ecstatic joy.

We are responsible to Ourselves:

  • to honor and follow Spirit as we understand It.
  • to be true to ourselves and our expression of or path to Spirit
  • to listen to Spirit as it communicates with us
  • to respect that we each have our place in the play of life
  • to live in balance, to the best of our ability and understanding, with Spirit and the world of nature that is all around us.
  • to deepen our understanding of Spirit through the practice of our faith.
  • to learn and teach all we can
  • to conscientiously work for change when Spirit calls us to do so.

We are responsible to others

  • to recognize Spirit in them
  • to honor the path that Spirit calls others to walk as their own way, regardless of the names or forms by which they may know Spirit.
  • to support them in how they follow Spirit, so long as it does not conflict with our own path
  • to honor their coming and going in our lives
  • to address conflicts with them directly
  • to be as truthful as possible and to (communicate and?) listen in good faith
  • to honor their boundaries as well as our own to the best of our ability
  • to work magik only on and for those who have given informed consent.
  • to leave this world in better condition than when we arrived.
